"Rock" gardening
Went out today to expand the back garden bed. I hate that when I try to plant something I always hit rock. Husband doesn't want me to make it any bigger, so I waited until I knew he wasn't going to be home. I knew there would be some rock, but I totally did not expect this. This only some of the rocks I dug up from the small area of the garden.

At least those look like good rocks! When I hit rock it's usually 1) a giant piece of asphalt previous owners buried 2) a giant piece of wood previous owners buried. Neither of those even look nice in the garden afterward like yours do! I commiserate, but am also jealous!
Builder filled in this area with rock, because it was cheaper than dirt I guess? He then used to flood the area in winter so the kids had a skate pond. There are a lot rock quarries in our area.
