I love the Foxfire Roadtrip video - next best thing to being there...no, not really. I wanted to fly in - just to see the beautiful gardens before they are gone...and to add some great hosta to my garden. Congratulations on a great haul!
There were a couple of factors that lead to the closing of Foxfire. 1. Owners were involved in a lawsuit and owed money 2. Neighbors were trying to have the area rezoned so they would not be allowed to sell hosta any more

I was just reading on the garden forum that they were digging up remaining hosta with a bobcat this week. How sad!
Does anyone know what led to closing of Foxfire Gardens?
We're in Wausau and just learned about closure today, Saturday, Sept. 5.
